PYP Dance Company (The Peninsula Young Performers) is an additional exciting opportunity for serious dancers (by audition).  Auditions for PYP are held near the end of each school year.

PYP success story..........                                   

When we registered the PYP production for 3 festivals, we did not anticipate that Music of The World would make it in to all 3 Galas!   Our productions have always done really well at Festival, but in the history of PYP's Productions, this is the first time that we have been invited to all 3 galas!  This is our 9th year of PYP, and since we do Productions every other year, Music of The World is our 5th production.  Some of our Senior dancers were the "little pickles" in our first production in 2002, Moulin Rouge :) Looking back to 2004, many of our current dancers were in  "Back To Broadway," which received a mark of 100% at Nanaimo Festival!

We know that it can be exhausting at times when kids are juggling dance, school, jobs and social lives. We want to take a moment to tell you how well the PYP dancers are doing (Mini to Senior Advanced), not only in our eyes but in the eyes of the audience members and adjudicators.  Adjudications are on display at the studio for anyone to have a look at, and we encourage you to do so.  The adjudicators had wonderful things to say about our Production :) Music of The World received a mark of 95% at the Nanaimo Festival as well as "Most Entertaining dance" award!  Many other Allegro dances received marks in the 90's and high 80's. Music of The World will be receiving an award at the Greater Vic Gala as well.   Good for you guys!  

We've had a busy festival run, but we hope you all think it is worth it!  We sure do:) By the end of Recitals, these dancers will have performed the Production 12 times!
